OUR
CONCEPT
Owner, Katrina Edwards
recalls, “Busy Tot Box was conceptualized in 2008 while I was trying to
find craft projects to do with my 1- and 3-year-old sons. The kits I
found were predominately sold in bulk, so I needed an idea for what to
do with the extra kits. I also loved to cook and try recipes, so wanted
to share the “tried and true” recipes with other parents needing new
meal options. Plus, I would occasionally watch the Rachael Ray Show and
loved the “Snack of the Day” concept and was interested in trying out
lots of new snack products as well. Then, while researching which crafts
to include in each month’s Box, I came across a lot of fun facts that I
knew would be great to share with other families. It just seemed natural
to package everything in one nifty Busy Tot Box that kids and families
could enjoy together.”
Katrina Edwards is the
founder of Busy Tot Box. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science (BS) in
Social Science and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA). Her work
experience has included:

Director of Events &
Development for a Visitors Bureau, Downtown Association, and
Chambers of Commerce;

Project Director and Grant
Writer for runaway and homeless youth programs;

Bookkeeper for her
husband’s custom agricultural services business;

Owner and operator of Busy
Tot Box; and
-
Mother of two sons … the
most rewarding by far!
Katrina lives in California
with her husband and two sons. She enjoys family get-aways, camping and
fishing, Harley rides, cooking, donating baked goods to local
fundraisers, story time at the library and, of course, playing with her
boys.
